Nature’s Solutions – 38 key Essences
Plants and essences were used to heal and in rituals since the earliest records of mankind. Ancient civilisations and cultures used to understand the medicinal properties of certain flowers and plants and used this wisdom to help heal sickness, cleansing areas through smoke or add flavours to food. From burial grounds of the Neanderthals to Egyptians and Greeks to Medieval Europe, there is much proof of their use for medicinal grounds.
Dr Edward Bach was one of the first to research establish the properties of flower essences in 1936. Since then many different sets of essences have been researched from Himalayan, Icelandic, Californian, Bailey essences, Australian Bush Essences and tree essences.
Essences in minute doses can be used to support a re-balance of emotions or state of mind, from the most famous Bach Rescue Remedy for emergencies to more subtle imbalances of lack of patience.
What happens in a Consultation?
To carry out a consultation there are several questions which allow the emotional state to be understood of the client by the practitioner. It can also be done using kinesiology or pendulums. I use an open questionnaire style, so feel free to add anything additional that may be helpful, no matter how small a detail it may be.
From this information I will then use information on the essences and use a crystal pendulum for confirmation and clarification before recommending the flower essence (or essences) to you.
As well as making suggestions on the flower essences I will also advise on possible dosage. This would be to make a small dose bottle up, or put into water bottle and sip in the day. Usually the dosage is just 2-3 drops in a bottle of water.
How long until the effects are noticed?
The length of time it will take for the flower essences to make a difference will depend on the length of time the emotional state has been present. Something that has only been present for a short time can be quickly brought into balance with the essences, whilst an emotional state that was triggered by something several years ago, will take longer to be brought into balance.
I have found that by using impatiens and holly for the last month or so I feel a lot more balanced and my “normal” self now. This feeling of normal for us is what is strived for, and we suddenly feel back to our old selves rather than feeling “better”.
